Aurora Adventures was founded in 2010 by Lars Johansen, a lifelong Tromsø resident with an insatiable passion for the Northern Lights. What began as small tours for friends and family has grown into one of Tromsø's most trusted Northern Lights tour companies.

Located at 69°N, Tromsø sits directly beneath the aurora oval, making it one of the best places on Earth to witness the Northern Lights. But location alone isn't enough. Success requires deep local knowledge, understanding of weather patterns, and the flexibility to chase clear skies across Northern Norway and into Finland when needed.
